KREYD

Introductions & terms.

What Kreyd does, how an introduction works and what you stay in control of.

Our role

Elia runs Kreyd Labs, helping companies explore data licensing and connect with specialist providers. The provider assesses suitability, licensing rights and potential commercial terms. Kreyd works independently and does not audit or value your data, provide legal advice, buy your data or sign a licence on your behalf.

Start with a conversation

An introductory conversation with Elia is free, with no obligation to proceed. Separate provider services may have their own fees or commitments, which you should check before agreeing. A high-level description of your records is enough. Please keep personal or confidential records out of enquiry text.

Completing a Kreyd form does not grant a data licence, connect your systems or automatically send your assessment to a buyer.

Choosing a data partner

We use your high-level description and providers’ stated requirements to suggest a relevant data partner or buyer. The route may differ from one opportunity to the next.

Kreyd can work with different providers. Before introducing your company, we check any restrictions applying to that referral and explain any limits on approaching another provider. We do not assume every referral arrangement is non-exclusive.

Before an introduction, we tell you who the proposed partner is and explain their process. This may include a separate assessment form or referral link for an owner or authorised representative. Submitting a Kreyd enquiry does not register you with another provider.

The selected partner or buyer assesses the records and licensing rights directly with you. Any proposed licence identifies the parties, the records covered, payment and data handling. You decide whether to proceed.

How we are paid

We may receive a referral fee from a data partner or buyer if an introduction leads to a deal. The amount, calculation and payment timing depend on the provider and transaction. We explain who pays us and how the fee works before making the introduction.

Your records, your approval

You choose what records to put forward and must have the right to license them. You approve the scope and terms before access is granted. Please do not send us an archive, system login or customer files as part of an initial enquiry.

Access, de-identification, security, onward licensing, retention and deletion arrangements vary by provider. We identify the proposed recipient and provide the relevant process and terms before you decide. Your written agreement sets out the arrangements for that deal. De-identification is not a guarantee that every risk of identification has been removed.

Values and timing

A provider’s review, licensing rights, data quality and buyer demand determine whether a deal is possible. Some records may not qualify. An enquiry or introduction does not guarantee an offer, sale or payment. Any amount, fees, licence duration and payment conditions are agreed for each deal.
